Who we are

What MJH Consulting is

MJH Consulting is a boutique product consulting firm. We help product and technology leaders make the decisions that ship: which AI bets are worth making, how to govern them, and how to move them through an organization that already has its own velocity.

We bring in specialists bespoke to your challenge, the exact expertise a given problem needs, and we lean into the emerging-tech frontier where the patterns are still being written. Enterprise-grade rigor, at the scale a boutique can move.

What drives us

Mission & Vision

Mission

Help leaders build AI and product that ships, and build it so it works for everyone it reaches.

We pair senior, enterprise-grade strategy with a firm standard: the technology we help create must be inclusive by design and must not harm the communities it touches. That standard shapes what we take on and how we deliver it.

Vision

A frontier built with underrepresented communities in mind from the first decision, not retrofitted after harm shows up.

Extended reality, AI, and decentralized systems are being defined right now. We want the firms and founders shaping what comes next to have a partner who holds the business outcome and the human one at the same time.

Inclusive technology, or it is not finished

Technology is never neutral. It carries the choices and the blind spots of the people who make it, and those land hardest on communities that were not in the room. Our purpose is to change who is in the room. We build for everyone a product will actually reach, we put diversity at the center of how we work rather than at the end, and we hold a line that underrepresented minorities and communities are not harmed by what we help create.

Representative research

The people a product affects are in discovery from the start, especially the ones usually studied last. Real behavior from a full range of users shapes the strategy.

Bias & harm review

Before anything ships, we examine the data, models, and flows for who could be misclassified, excluded, surveilled, or put at risk, and redesign until the answer is defensible.

Accessibility as a floor

Assistive technology, plain language, and low-bandwidth realities are requirements. A product that only works for the able, the affluent, and the well-connected is unfinished.

Accountability to community

We name the communities a product affects and check the work against their reality. When a build cannot be made safe for the people it reaches, we say so.

Community impact

How the purpose shows up

This is a commitment we can point to, not a value statement on a page. It runs from the founder's own work through how we hire and who we open the door to.

XLearning

Our founder designed XLearning for the Accenture XR Ideathon, an immersive learning platform built to advance racial and ethnic equality, teaching social-justice topics through experience. It is where the inclusive-tech standard started.

Open door to students

We run structured, mentored internships for academic credit across every function of the practice, made to widen access to careers in tech and consulting for students who do not always reach the traditional pipelines.

A bench that broadens who gets the work

Our senior contract bench and revenue-share model let independent, senior talent take on enterprise-grade work on their own terms, including people outside the usual firm pipelines.

Rooted in service

The firm carries a Howard University grounding in service and excellence into how it shows up: for clients, for the people we hire, and for the communities our clients' products reach.

Leadership

The founder

Malcolm J. Henry

MJH Consulting is founded and led by Malcolm J. Henry, Founder & Principal Advisor. Malcolm has spent close to a decade shipping enterprise product inside large organizations, at Deloitte, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, and Autodesk, where the through-line is enterprise complexity and a real user at the end of it.

His advisory work sits where enterprise product management meets AI: which bets are worth making, how to govern them, and how to actually ship them. He holds an M.B.A. from Emory's Goizueta Business School and a B.B.A. from Howard University, and carries SAFe Advanced Scrum Master and Product Owner / Product Manager certifications. Howard shaped a commitment to service and excellence that runs through the firm, and the inclusive-technology standard traces back to his own XR equity work.

Where we focus

We work across sectors and hire for the expertise each one needs. Two commitments hold through all of it: a deliberate lean into emerging technology and Web 3.0, and a firm standard that the technology we build is inclusive by design and does no harm to underrepresented communities.
